I woke up, not early like I like to wake up, but I got up. I think it was about 9:00 am, which is sleeping in extremely late for my natural body rhythm and inner “clock”. I normally cannot sleep in past 7:00 am to 7:30 am, unless I am really sick and my body is struggling, and I guess since I was just sick a few weeks ago and my body is still recovering, that makes sense, then.
A few days ago, on Thursday (June 13th), I went grocery shopping, and Michael came with me. “Teamwork makes the dream work!” That, and I need his help while I’m walking around in the store. I can’t stand for long periods of time without taking breaks and sitting to rest in between a lot of walking, and since there is nowhere to sit and rest when I am in the grocery store, having Michael come with me and help me gather our needed groceries into the grocery cart helps to make the whole process go faster, and thus, me standing for less time than I otherwise would. I have been considering getting a service dog for the past year for mobility support, though. I already require a cane on a good day, because of my issues related to orthostatic hypotension and muscle weakness, it is probably at least a good idea to look into this and whether it’s a realistic option for me.
I spent the rest of the week deep cleaning the house and getting a head on whatever other tasks or house chores around the house that I could in anticipation for my parents and my youngest sister and her son to come visit. We are going on a family road-tripping adventure that we’ve been planning for about a year and a half!
