–Breaking Stigmas–

May 19, 2016

There are stigmas attached to just about everything. They are nothing more than unfair generalized negative beliefs about someone or something.

In particular are two that just hit a little too close to home.

Depression and physical limitations.

There should be no shame in admitting that we battle with either of these.

We are nothing less than warriors, fighting valiantly and courageously… Every day we wake up we’ve won. We’ve triumphed over adversity. Every day we have a reason to rejoice. We’re still here, and that means we’ve won another victory.

I believe we can weather the storms of life while still maintaining our dignity, poise, and gracefulness. We can hold our heads up high with a high sense of accomplishment and success with each new day we conquer and overcome. We should wear those daily victories like a medal rewarded for courage and valiant valor.
