I think wisdom was shifting my focus from over scheduling my days, trying to accomplish as many things as I could get done in a day (trying to “do it all”) to slowing down, focusing on the things that matter most, and doing more with less. The balancing act of life could easily be as simple as living more simply, nurturing gratitude for all things small, difficult, and great, and putting more quality into our lives, not necessarily quantity. Simple things like slowing down to take a road trip with my family or even just a simple country drive in our own neck of the woods, or getting outside and enjoying the sunshine and fresh air in the backyard with the kids, or even slowing down to appreciate small, ordinary moments in life have made a big difference in the quality of life I live over the last 3 years… And even more so the last couple of months while trying to reclaim my life from adversities present in my life.
